How to get started?

You can first contact me either by phone or email. I will go over my services with you and answer any questions that you may have. If you live in the Minneapolis area we can set up a time and place to meet. I will let you know what you need to bring to the meeting, and I will email you a questionnaire and customer agreement for you to look over. We will go over these when we meet. If you live out of the area, we can discuss these over the phone or via email and resolve any questions you may have.

Once we agree on the album, design and cost you will have to sign the customer agreement and make a 50% deposit to start the process. The deposit is non-refundable in the event you decide not to complete the album; all photos and personal items would be returned.

If you are starting to go through your pictures and thinking about what type of album you would like, (for example a baby's first year, or your child's school pictures, a family vacation, etc.) start by dividing them into categories , jot notes on post it's and place them on the back of the pictures. If there is something specific about the events or the person in the pictures, be sure to include this with the photos. When you are going through your pictures don't worry about the photo having to be a "perfect" shot. Keep them in the bunch, they may be able to be cropped and used to tell the "story". If there are any pictures that you would not want to be physically cropped make a notation on a post it, or place them in a separate envelope. If needed, these can be scanned and a new copy will be cropped for the album, and I will return the originals to you.

You can also send me your pictures via the internet. I will go through your pictures and print the ones that I will be using. The cost of printing those pictures will be added to the final payment at the time of delivery. This is a nice option, because it allows us to communicate about the pictures while both of us are looking at them.

Depending on the album size and how many pages will be included I will give you a completion date. Mini albums should take 3 to 4 weeks and a full 8 1/2 x 11 or 12 x 12 could take 4 to 6 weeks.
